This guide outlines the steps to integrate Codly into your website using Google Tag Manager. Codly enhances your website's functionality by allowing users to apply changes using the DOM layer.

Before You Start

Ensure you have access to your Google Tag Manager account and your Codly account credentials.

Installing Codly with Google Tag Manager:

1 - Open Tag Manager: Access your Google Tag Manager account and navigate to your desired container.

2 - Create a New Tag: Click on "New Tag" within your container workspace.

3 - Name Your Tag & Select Tag Configuration:Give your tag a descriptive name and click on "Tag Configuration."

4 - Choose 'Custom HTML':Select "Custom HTML" from the available tag types.

5 - Paste Codly Script:Retrieve the Codly script from the Web Resources page in your Codly account. Copy the script and paste it into the HTML box in Google Tag Manager.

6 - Set Trigger: Click on "Triggering" and choose the appropriate trigger for Codly, such as "Initialization - All Pages."

7 - Save: Once the trigger is set, click on "Save" to save your tag configuration.

8 - Submit Changes:After saving, submit your changes by clicking on "Submit" in the top-right corner of the Tag Manager interface.

9 - Publish a New Version:Provide a version name and description, then publish the new version of your container to make the Codly integration live on your website.

Final Steps

Confirm that Codly is successfully installed by clicking on preview and verifying if Codly's tag is fired when you initialize your product.

2 - Type your product URL and click Connect.

3 - Look if Codly's tag was fired.
